What’s changing
01
FFPE compatibility
Trekker kits now support formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded samples, widening access to trusted archival tissue.
02
Platform agnostic
Compatibility spans established single-cell library preparation platforms and third-party instrument systems.
03
Integrated multiomics
End-to-end options combine spatial omics with epigenetic and immune profiling for richer biological insight.
A broader path to discovery
Takara Bio USA announced a series of updates to its spatial biology portfolio, extending its innovation with a new class of spatial technology. The expanded instrument-free Trekker Single-Cell Spatial Mapping Kits bring spatial analysis to more sample types and more established research workflows.
The expanded portfolio supports deeper biological insight from multiomics experiments while remaining designed for seamless integration. Researchers can add a new dimension to existing studies without purchasing a separate specialized instrument or abandoning the platforms already used in their laboratories.
Takara Bio is providing researchers with a new way to approach spatial biology—faster, easier, more cost-effective, and with richer multiomic insights.
Technology unlocks new possibilities
Single-cell spatial omics is redefining how scientists study tissue biology by enabling high-resolution maps of gene and protein expression. A straightforward workflow transforms standard single-cell data into spatial insight, and expanded bioinformatics software with dedicated field-application support helps researchers optimize downstream analysis with open-source tools.
Investing in what comes next
Takara Bio USA continues to expand its R&D teams and consolidate manufacturing at its facilities. The investment increases capacity to scale production, respond to global demand, and accelerate development of complementary platforms.
